Evening at the Park

There is a big field between our house and the playground with a biggish hill and a few bike paths. The grass is so dry that it's like yellow straw, the only sign of green growth is the dandelions.  Thankfully, there's a lot of them!  From one vantage point I can keep an eye on one kid riding bikes, one kid digging in the sand and one more running between the two.

Kia ran into a girl she went to school with in grade two (her 4 brief months of public school) and they spent the evening swinging, sharing the bike and catching up on the good old days.

Ry could spend hours creating bridges in the sand.  The impermanence of these structures is hard on him - nothing at a playground seems to survive the next batch of kids.
